We made rain in Room 2 today. We put some water in a bowl and heated it up just as the sun heats up the water in the lake. We put a plate with ice on it on top of the bowl to represent the very cold clouds. We waited for a few minutes and watched. Very soon the warm steam rose up and hit the cold cloud and condensed into rain drops of liquid water. We saw some drop back into the "lake" below.
Here I am in Auckland spending Mother's Day with one of my daughters and one of my sons as well as the grandchildren. Lovely presents this morning and morning tea. Off to the cafe called Catroux where my granddaughter works to have a coffee before I hop on the bus to go back to Rotorua . See you all in Room 2 (14) tomorrow!
